Dr. Paul Glodzik

Dr. Paul Glodzik is a graduate of both the State University of New York at Buffalo and the National University of Health Sciences. He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Coach and has worked as a Sports Performance coach with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Football team, Ashburn Extreme Junior Hockey teams, Virginia Wild Junior Hockey teams and athletes involved in volleyball, golf and track and field. He has been working as one of the team chiropractors for the Potomac Athletic Club Rugby team, Washington DC Slayers Rugby League team and Washington DC Furies Womens Rugby team for the past four years. Dr. Glodzik has also been certified as an Active Release Technique provider, Certified Kinesio-Taping Practitioner and Graston Technique provider. As of April 2012 Dr. Glodzik became a CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician). This was the last step he needed to complete to begin working with the USA Olympic Team.

In September of 2013, Dr. Glodzik, was selected to work a two week rotation at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO in the Sports Medicine clinic. While completing this rotation, Dr. Glodzik was able to work with many different types of Olympic athletes, including Olympic weightlifters and the Para-Olympic snowboarders, and treated many different types of injuries and symptoms including Altitude sickness and a MRSA infected post-surgical dislocated patella. While in Colorado Springs Dr. Glodzik was also selected to work with the USA Weightlifting team as one of their medical providers. Dr. Glodzik is now in line to work a rotation at the US Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY to work with winter sports athletes.

Dr. Glodzik has worked in the past five years with the DC Tri Club and DC Roadrunners Club as one of their healthcare providers. He has also worked with many local running clubs teaching them proper warm-up and stride technique.

While in chiropractic school he was the Pathology Fellow responsible for teaching the Pathology lab required to graduate. Dr. Glodzik was one of only four students that were awarded a fellowship while completing his studies. He was also a research associate in the Biomechanics lab where he participated in the study of forces needed to effect joint mechanics during an adjustment. As an undergraduate he also worked as a research associate studying the effects of increased fats or carbohydrates in the diet of female athletes on exhaustive exercise.

Dr. Glodzik was a former semi-professional rugby player for the Potomac Athletic Club of the US Rugby Super League. While playing he was selected to the 2002 and 2003 Mid-Atlantic Select Side that participated in the Inter-Territorial Tournament. This tournament was used as an assessment tool by the US National team to select players for International matches. After completing his studies, Dr. Glodzik returned to PAC and was named as one of the team chiropractors. He has also been named as the team chiropractor for the Washington DC Slayers and has worked with many of the Washington DC Furies. Dr. Glodzik recently completed his first triathlon at the Washington DC Triathlon. In only his third year playing rugby league for the Washington DC Slayers he was selected to attend a USA Tomahawks camp. This camp was used as an assessment for selecting players to participate for the US National Rugby League team in the Atlantic Cup, played by the US, Canada and Jamaica. As an undergraduate he was a two-sport athlete playing both rugby and ice hockey. Dr. Glodzik played hockey throughout his childhood as a member of the Amherst (NY) Knights.
